The timely nature of the book's topics is one of its strengths. The book just came out, and its many of its topics can be seen in the daily newspapers. Consider one issue - are continued US sanctions on Cuba justified? The pro and con are briefly covered, but quite succinctly. Another topic asks whether membership in the World Trade Organisation is beneficial.
The book's debate format helps crystallise its topics. And the editor has skilfully recruited eloquent writers to debate both sides of each topic. No straw dummies here. A good pedagogic format that should hold the student's attention.
