Margaret Mead Adds an entirely new dimension to literature on primitive people. The book is constructed with great dexterity, so that the charm and movement of the narrative carry the reader along, almost unaware of the underpinning of arduous scientific fieldwork that lies like bedrock below. The Forest People
| Customer Rating: | | I am not completely finished reading the book. However, so far, I have found it entertaining and educational. It is amazing to me how the pygmies can exist in the forest with virtually none of what we would view as essentials. A very simple way of life. |
