Cam Knight is a former special forces officer and one third of a family run business that specializes in danger. Cam's father hires him to find out what happened to the representative for his oil company when he was sent into an arab country to arrange a business deal. Shortly after arriving in the country, Cam figures out that the representative is dead and the ruler needs his signature on some paperwork to seal a lucrative deal for his country. To entice him and lower his defenses, "Salome" is sent as his bedmate. Salome is really American Leanna, a ballerina and virgin kidnapped on tour and sold to the evil ruler. Before the ruler defiles her, he uses her to entice Cam. Believing Salome to be a prostitute, Cam starts making arrangements to get himself out of a sticky situation but doesn't plan on taking her with him...Leanna knows the only way out is through Cam and so she uses every trick until they finally escape. Although sparks fly, Leanna resists Cam's advances knowing that he thinks poorly of her but her heart can't help but yearn for him. Cam wants Leanna but she keeps up her "scared virgin act" and he isn't one to take without asking. Finally, when their lives are on the line, the truth comes out and they are both changed forever.

This was a steamy book full of sexual tension but it isn't all about sex. The characters have depth and are interesting and the combination makes for a wonderful book.

A Desert Fantasy, One You Won't Want to Miss!
Customer Rating:  Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5
What a marvelous book this was to read. Cam Knight, the oldest of the Knight Brothers and his story is Sandra's first in The Knight Brother's trilogy. I loved his "tough" character role and how his "Salome" blind-sided him with her strength and beauty.

This story is truly a fantasy set in the desert and one you won't want to miss especially since it's a Sandra Marton trilogy.

From the back cover:

Cameron Knight is a fearless troubleshooter on a mission in the desert kingdom of Baslaam.... Leanna DeMarco is a ballerina; she's been abducted to dance for the sultan of Baslaam....

When the sultan offers Leanna to Cam, he sees a way to escape with her across the sands. But she's temptation! Can Cam resist taking the sultan's gift?

[...] I'm writing here is to say how relieved I am to read that although it's in the Uncuts series it's not like the awful one that was the first in that series (a good book in itself, made disgraceful by the spanking sex in it). Thank heavens Sandra Morton hasn't gone that way.

I DO HOPE Harlequin has got the message! Sex yes, perversion no.

(I've given this book four stars on trust, because you have to enter a star rating.)

Thank God!

I was really, really worried about this book after reading the first Uncut in this series (a hideous story by Susan Stephens) that involved an icky spanking scene. I was afraid all the Uncuts would be like that. But Thank God!!! they're not. I'd read Sandra Marton before and with one or two exceptions have loved every book she ever wrote. Because I trusted her I was willing to give this book a try and I am VERY glad I did. This one was really fabulous. A standout, even by Marton standards.

The basic story is this: Cameron Knight is part of this troubleshooting group Knight, Knight, and Knight-Risk Management Specialists (with his brothers who I guess will be in future books) and he's sent by his estranged father to look into a missing employee in the fictional Middle Eastern country of Baslaam. There he meets Leanna a ballarina who's been captured by white slavers and sold to the sulten of Baslaam. Cameron discovers the missing employee is dead and he's next on the list. He escapes with Leanna into the desert.

This story is incredibly passionate and sexy beyond belief. But it's also incredibly romantic -- unlike the first Uncut of Stephens. The characters are well drawn and have depth. The action keeps you turning the pages. If you'll excuse the pun, it's a "cut" above the average Presents. I will warn you there is explicit love scenes in the book, which I personally loved because they were so romantic. And there's also physical violence and killing, but it was necessary for the story and the ick factor is low.

If I had one criticism it's that the hero worked everything out with his dad a bit to easy. But if future Uncuts can be like this one, I'm all for it. I'm begging though based on Susan Stephens book . . . NO MORE SPANKING IN PRESENTS. That one was totally gross.
