Summaries and Customer Reviews are supplied by Amazon.com Textbook for vocational-technical students who require competency in all phases and types of livestock production. Text is based on the most up-to-date information, and is applicable to all areas of the United States. Includes new material about the anatomy and physiology of animals; and a new discussion of employers' expectations and appropriate work habits. Previous edition: c2002. Great book, but expensive as all hell | Customer Rating: | This is a really good, thorough livestock book. It covers more than a vet tech student will ever need to know about food animal production.
Having said all that, it's way too expensive for a mostly black and white book printed on cheap paper that's one step above newsprint in quality.
The only way someone would fork over 140 bucks for this thing is if they were forced to by an instructor.
If you have to spend 140 bucks on a damned textbook, at least this is a good one. |
