| Customer Rating: | | Good book. Information was easy to follow. But the condition I received it in was terrible. It was advertised as "good" but had writing and marks all over it from head to toe. |
Lousy book
| Customer Rating: | | This book is very poorly written. This book doesn't define terms, doesn't bother to explain things, and just goes into incredible detail on things that leave the reader lost. I've heard it said that it's for a graduate audience. That's no excuse. |
really detailed book
| Customer Rating: | | I was assigned this book in college. It is definitely intense. However, it's intense in a positive way. I have always found microbiology to be one of the most interesting subjects of science. I have always been fascinated by parasites and bacteria. If you're assigned this book in micro class in college--definitely read this book. I also found Microbiology Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers by Patrick Leonardi to be an excellent study guide for test prep. |
Too much info
| Customer Rating: | Extremely detailed, this book covers much more than MICROBIOLOGY. You can find a complete course of GENETICS within it as an example!
This is a usefull book for undergrad's but there is no chance of being able to finish all of it in an undergraduate course in MICRO.
It just covers everything and tries to squees all the info within its pages...
I hope you will have fun studying it though... |
