If you are a rookie about to entering the field of audiology. this book would only push you away~

| Customer Rating: | | I have a profesor who doesn't know the first thing about teaching. The only way I am surviving is by keeping up with this book. It is so clear. The only issue I have with it is that it doesn't always define the bolded key terms until a couple pages later. |

| Customer Rating: | | It's an introduction to audiology. If you're new to the discipline, then this is a pretty good starting point. However, it's not detailed enough for postgrad or research. For that I'd buy Katz's Handbook of Clinical Audiology or Roeser's Audiology Diagnosis. |

If some kind of uncertainty arises you can always refer to the CD that it comes with and it will help you understand the material in a more efficient and concrete way. I am happy with the text and I can now understand the science behind the hearing mechanism. I would recommend this text for the begginers with an interest to specialize in hearing and/or speech sciences. |
