Mark-recapture a book of insight

This book went through both the old and new literature of mark-recapture in pretty good detail, though not explicitly on MLE or such in deriving some estimators (though they gave references of others who have). It jumps around a bit when describing different techniques, but overall I think it is a worthwhile book to have if you are doing mark-recapture analysis, esp. if you use the program MARK by White, and others.
