Well laid out, comprehensive beginners approach to ArcObjects
| Customer Rating: | | So I just got done reading this book for a class in ArcObjects. I have to say that I was very impressed. Each chapter introduces a new concept and contains exercises that the reader can easily follow along with. The beginning of the book focuses on Visual Basic ...errr basics, then the reader gets introduced to object-oriented concepts, before launching into using ArcObjects. This book is definitely a good starting point for the budding ArcObjects programmer, but by no means teaches you everything. As you will find out when you lay eyes on your first ArcObjects model diagram, there is a lot of ground to cover! |

Book has a good combination of information with cookbook examples that covers many key points in ArcObjects. Students can do these assignments on their own. If you supplement workbook with open ended assignments students learn how to combine VB with ArcObjects. This combination has lead to student success. |
