There are three books in this series. Volume Two deals with the following topics; Mountebanks among Forensic Scientists, More Mountebanks, Forensic Capillary Gas Chromatography, Forensic Identification of Illicit Drugs, Microscopy and Microchemistry of Physical Evidence, An Introduction to the Forensic Aspects of Textile Fiber Examination, Forensic Mitochondrial DNA Analysis, The Identification of Semen and Other Body Fluids, and Firearms Identification. Dr. Saferstein has done a wonderful job of getting well respected scientists to write each section. These handbooks should be required by any forensic science program.

For anyone interested in the scientific side of Forensic science, ie the identification of fibres and bullets and fingerprints by established techniques, this as well as Volumes I and II are excellent reference books. As a student of forensic science, they are great for understanding techniques and for writing those numerous reports. Definitely one for the growing library.
