Summaries and Customer Reviews are supplied by Amazon.com Good Read | Customer Rating: | The book was a good read but should have developed the growing love between the hero and heroine. There seemed to be a lot of time spent arguing. I didn't feel that the characters knew enough about each other to truly have a strong bond.
| Wonderful addition to the series | Customer Rating: | The O'Connels series has not disappointed yet. This is Cullen's story and as a different approach is told from the man's side, not the woman's. We actually get to find out what's in the man's mind.
Cullen is a bit on the arrogant side. He's a successful attorney who meets law student Marissa at a conference. He is used to being pursued by women and when one actually sleeps with him and then disappears his ego is hurt. The worst part is she was the most sexually compatible woman he had met. He finds he can't forget Marissa and goes looking for her. What he finds is she's thrown away a full paid scholarship and disappeared. When he manages to find her she is working long hours at a burger joint, living in a seedy neighborhood and then he finds out she's pregnant. He asks if the child is his and she says yes but doesn't want anything from him. She was abandoned by her own father as a child and is determined that she can give her child enough love. When Cullen demands Marissa marry him, his ego is deflated when she says no. He finally persuades her and they start out miserable. When Cullen finally realizes he needs to stop being so demanding, he tries wooing his wife. They are in love with each other but neither knows the others feelings. When Cullen introduces his new wife to his older brother, she is made to feel like a scam artist. Cullen proves his mettle when he stands up for her. The only thing wrong with this story is the relationship seems rushed and we don't have enough time to see their relationship develop. Otherwise this is a really great story | Will He or Will He Not? A very powerful book in O'Connell series | Customer Rating: | | Wow is all I can say. Sandra Marton did an incredible job with her alpha, Cullen. I sat up all night just to see how Cullen would resolve his feelings for Marrisa and how he would cope with fatherhood. A passionate and suspenseful story in the O'Connell series. |
