Summaries and Customer Reviews are supplied by Amazon.com Lose yourself in Holmes County, where romance, suspense, mystery, and faith-filled Amish ways rule the day! Martha Hostettler is concerned about the continuous attacks being made on her Amish family. With a definite motive and a myriad of methods, Luke Friesen looks like the culprit. Determined to clear his name, Martha decides to play detective. What will the search for truth cost her? Sister of Hope | Customer Rating: | | I read everything this author has written, as soon as it is on the market or in our local library. Have never been disappointed in anything she writes. I am anxiously awating her next book. | The Mystery is finally solved | Customer Rating: | | When compared to Brunstetter's other books and series, this one did not make the grade. This last book in the series was about 95% mystery and suspense although the author took way way too long to develope any meaningful story. There was a tiny bit of love, an even less amount of Amish history and a tiny bit of family relationships. I was intrigued with all the different people who were suspects in the harming of Martha's family, but the ending did give a surprise which, I suppose makes it a good mystery. I am personally happy this series is finished. | Excellent | Customer Rating: | | The book is in perfect shape. I can not tell it is a used book. | GOOD READING | Customer Rating: | | VERY GOOD BOOK FOR THOSE WHO LIKE A LITTLE ROMANCE TRHROWN IN WITH HISTORY ABOUT AMISH WAY OF LIFE REALLY LIKE THE WAY THE BOOKS CONTINUE TO TLL THE STORY | "A Sister's Hope"...but I had hoped for MORE. | Customer Rating: | | Wanda is an awesome writer and I have read and enjoyed nearly all of her writings. I felt a bit let down and disappointed with this series, however. The first book held my interest and the story lines were well established but the repetition and mulling over of the attacks, the rumored attackers, the secret liasons between Martha and Luke, the dog business, etc., etc. became tedious and stagnant by book two, and even more so by book 3. It was apparent early on who the culprit was and I struggled to finish the book. I think these three might have been more successfully accomplished in one volume with more development of the other family members and story lines. A little disappointed , but I will still follow this gifted writer as she shares a lovely and simple faith and life-style of the gentle Amish people. |
