Summaries and Customer Reviews are supplied by Amazon.com An introduction to game theory and its application to the study of politics, designed by a leading authority for students without advanced mathematical training. Very Good Introduction | Customer Rating: | | This is a very good introductory text to game theory and politics for those students without mathematical background. It gives readers a theoretical synopsis of positive political theory, the leading approach to study politics in the highest ranked political science departments. | Not Relevant to Political Science | Customer Rating: | | The paucity of real life examples that apply any of the developed theory is disappointing at best. One would have hoped that a book so weak on theory (hand wavy Nash equilibrium, simple V-sets) could have made up the lack of mathematical sophistication with excellent application of the theoretical ideas developed to political science, but alas that is not the case. |
