| Customer Rating: | Frank Frick's "Journey Through the Hebrew Scriptures" is one of the best textbook-guides to the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament I have seen yet. It is well written, informative and up-to-date on (almost) the latest theories. Frick's chapters on the geography and the archaeology of the Holy Land, subjects in which the author is well versed himself, are especially useful to the average non-Israeli student.
Unfortunately, the book's high hardcover price and the lack of a soft cover edition make it impractical to use as a college textbook. I do hope that the effort is made to produce an updated soft cover edition soon! |
