This book had some simple ideas but over all not very usable. It's good for a teenager they can get away with more. But the designs were just too teeny bopper
save your $ and BUY a headband...
Customer Rating:
true, there are 99 things to do with your denim... but about 90 of them you can live without. the instructions are far from thorough, and the only item i tried to make - a skirt with contrasting panels - i abandoned after a few hours as i realized - gee, since they only have you save the button part of the waistband, HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO GET INTO THIS SKIRT WITHOUT A ZIPPER??? besides, the bulges from the former knees of the pants would make this a really unflattering skirt. the other articles of clothing you could "create" were a real stretch - oh, there was one project where you can embroider your jeans! wow! no sewing or cutting involved!!! why didnt i think of that??? if you want to make check book covers, head bands, belts, book covers, cd holders, pot holders, etc out of your old pants, go for it. i am regifting it to someone who actually WOULD do those things... but not me!
Super cool book!
Customer Rating:
This is an amazing book! The designs are edgy, high fashion, with a twist of simplicity. The illustrations re super-cool. I already made two of the projects. Would highly recommend if you love to reconstruct clothes like i do.
recycle your jeans
Customer Rating:
Great craft book. We all have jeans that are just no longer wearable, esp. if you have kids. Great projects to rework your old jeans for unique clothes & crafts.
99 ways to cut, sew and deck out your denim
Customer Rating:
This is a pretty good book, it gives you plenty of ways to recycle denim. My only complaint is that it didn't give approximate measurements, so you pretty much have to wing it, and use your best judgement, but there are a lot of good ideas here.
