| Summaries and Customer Reviews are supplied by Amazon.com For registry candidates, technologists in training, sonographers in cross-training, lab personnel, and interpreting physicians, here is the revised and expanded third edition of this very popular book. It began life as an illustrated review of everything a registry candidate needs to know to pass the Vascular Technology examination, topic by topic, in one volume. Written by nationally renowned authors, it quickly became a standard text in diagnostic ultrasound programs across the country and a practical guide for vascular lab personnel. It is now perhaps the most widely read vascular reference in print . . . So we made it better! We expanded and updated the text, added more than 40 color and gray-scale images, photo-documented physiologic exam techniques, published more case studies and angiograms, and included an integral application for continuing education credits with self-assessment quizzes, glossaries, and other new features. Why are our study aids and educational resources so popular and effective? Because they contain the same kinds of thought-provoking questions you will find on the real exam! Approved for 12 hours of continuing medical education (CME) credit by the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS). Average Customer Rating: II have wanted this book for years | Customer Rating: | I am so thankful that I was finally able to get this book. I have attended seminars by one of the authors and spent some time at Henry Ford Hospital with her ( in a teaching situation). I respect her and her work. I have always wanted her book and am happy to finally have it. I have not hard time to read through the book but knowing how organized her seminars were, I know it will be organized and to the point. I needed a reference book as I am RVT and this will fit the bill for me. | excellent review for the RVT test | Customer Rating: | | This is the only text you need for the RVT exam, it covers all the pertinent areas, the only drawback is that the book falls apart easily. | Excellent contents, poor package | Customer Rating: | This paperback, which is only available in paperback, is outstanding for both passing the registry exam and grasping virtually all you need to know as a vascular sonographer. It is easy to read, simple but not simplistic, good continuity, accurate, and a great deal of it's contents seem to be on the registry exam very much like it appears in the book. It should be kept in mind that it is inherently not a reference book (it is not intended to be) so if you are seeking detailed comprehensive explanations, you probably won't find it here. For that you will need a supplemental text (I prefer Zwiebel & Pellerito, Fifth Ed. for that purpose). The one big negative about "Vascular Technology" is that it has just about the WORST binding ever. Pages literally fall out! | CME credits provided | Customer Rating: | | This book is good for someone new to vascular ultrasound. I am a cardiology fellow looking to analyze carotid ultrasound and peripheral ultrasound. It covers basic fundamentals of ultrasound and also provides CME credits. It also has severals color slides. | Great Study Tool | Customer Rating: | | This book is hands down the best book to study for the RVT exam. This is the only book I used to study and passed the ARDMS (RVT) on the first try. Lots of great information I didn't even know, also a great quick reference! | | |
