Summary:

Claire was trying to look after her baby sister alone. She was on the verge of taking drastic action when she met Andreas Markopoulou, a sexy Greek tycoon. Andreas offered to marry Claire and adopt Melanie. His adored grandmother longed to hold her great grandchild before she died. It seemed Andreas would go to any lengths to grant his grandmother's wish, even if that meant deceiving everybody -- including his new bride.

Very, very silly

First of all, the way they meet is SO cliche & stupid. The heroine is a doormat-type (but thin & beautiful) who's taking care of her baby sister following their mother's death. Running out of her poor little apartment to return her aunt's credit card to her, the doormat-type gets hit by a car & breaks her wrist. The aunt's boss, a mega-wealthy, handsome & controlling sort of guy, takes over the heroine's life directly after. He offers her a marriage "of convenience", not 48 hours after meeting her. Well, guess how long the convenience part lasts--yep, about as long as you take in the shower in the morning.

There are a few nice Michele Reid-touches, (I've found her to be a very good author, often) but on a whole, I can't believe this is the same author who wrote "The Price of a Bride". When a Harlequin story is well-written and has some grasp on reality, I do enjoy them, but when they are basically just fairy tales set in someplace called La-di-da Love-ville, I admit I can't stand them. This is one I just can't stand.

very very good !

I didn't find THE TYCOON'S BRIDE boring. It had a good plot and a very good ending. I think what made it really good for me was the ending because there were some parts to it that was kinda boring and idiotic.

Claire Stenson met Andreas Markopoulou by accident after getting hit by a van. He decides to take care of her and her baby sister, Melanie. (Claire's mother died about two weeks after giving birth to Melanie) Andreas then propose that they get married because he wants to fulfill his grandmother's wish of holding her great-grandchild before she dies. Claire decides to go along with his plan, because after all she's benefiting from this deal to and she doesn't even have enough money to take care of herself, let alone a baby. But her agreeing to the deal is really for Melanie's sake. They travel to meet Andreas' grandmother, in Athens, where the wedding would take place and where the deception is going to take place.

During Claire's time spent in Athens, Claire learns more and more about Andreas. About the man underneath the cool exterior and the self-control.

THE TYCOON'S BRIDE, in my opinion wasn't boring because the ending balanced out the parts that were bad in the book. I deffinitely loved the ending, usually the endings to some books are kinda disappointing but this was left me happy. I totally enjoyed THE TYCOON'S BRIDE and I hope that other readers will also enjoy reading this book!

Not one of her best

I had looked forward for months to this title by Michelle Reid as I am an ardent fan of hers. However, it was a bit of a letdown and lacked the trademark sizzling excitement of Reid's work. Definitely not one of her best.

Disappointing...

I generally like Michelle Reid's works; however,I was greatly disppointed with this book. I didn't see much chemistry with the two characters. The hero is still bitter with his divorce and the situation that led to it. The heroine has to suffer because of it. Not one of her best.

Nice Story..but not one of her best!

Michelle Reid always writes a good story. However this one was a little boring. Claire has custody of her baby sister, who is also Andrea Markopoulou's neice. He marries her so that his grandmother will have her great grandchild. Nice reading but not up to her usual standards.
