Average Customer Rating: Unexpected Delight | Customer Rating: | | I only started reading harlequin's because in between reading 400 page novels, I wanted something lighter and less intense. I've found that some of the best stories are in these little books. This is part of the O'Connell series and the first of the series I have read. Stefano is a wealthy Sicilian/American who fulfills a dream of buying back a family castella after making it big. He is blackmailed by an ex lover into allowing a photo shoot for a bridal magazine be held on his property. Fallon O'Connell is the super model hired for the shoot. When these two meet it is instant dislike/attraction. He thinks she is an empty headed conceited supermodel. She thinks he is a rich jerk looking for arm candy. When she is in a terrible accident that messes up her face, Stefano feels responsible and takes her to his castella to recover. They quickly find out they had interpreted each other wrongly, and the attraction takes on a deeper, intense but sweet relationship. The problem is she thinks he feels pity for her and she wants love, not pity. He thinks she will be frightened away if he declares his love too soon and doesn't tell her he loves her. A series of miscommunications turns into a brief breakup but works out with a wonderful ending. I really liked this one. The hero is all male without being an overbearing jerk. She is vulnerable without being helpless. Great characters. | 5 Stars and More | Customer Rating: | | Simply put, this book was lovely, tender and touched my heart. Others have reviewed it on this site so there's not too much more to say. However,I wept and was truly moved. Fallon's story was extremely moving and Sandra Marton has outdone herself. This series is wonderful and I highly recommend it. | A Wonderful Book! | Customer Rating: | | This is a wonderful book. Stefano Lucchesi is the perfect Alpha male who doesn't expect to lose his heart but when he does, he gives Fallon O'Connell everything a woman could want. He's passionate, sexy, gentle and strong. Every woman should have a man like Stefano in her life. | | |
