This book makes a great companion book for Intellectual Devotional: American History. I have both and can highly recommend them.
If you like to increase your knowledge and can find even a few minutes a day to read, this is the book for you. It's easy to read with the one page story format and the variety of topics covered makes every page an interesting one.
I gave this book to several family members at Christmas and every one of them loved it!

I saw this book in the store, started flipping through it and couldnt stop. Every page is an interesting little piece of information. Everyone knows someone who is full of interesting facts about random things, and this book can help make you one of those people. The idea is to read a page a day for a year, but its difficult not to sit down and read half of the book at one time. I also purchased the american history version and am loving it so far. I would reccomend this book to anyone who wants to expand their mind a bit.

What a nice treat this book is. You only need 2-3 minutes to work through each daily reading. The topics are varied. It is well-written. The authors approach the topics from a "101 level". The additional facts content (bottom of most entries) are often filled with unique nuggets. It's a nice refresher or primer for those interested in expanding their understanding of the fields of music, art, philosophy, religion, science, etc. Makes a great gift too.
