As a mom of 4 I am always looking for new ideas and strategies. Although we are not a Christian family there is plenty to learn from the Duggars. I loved her ideas to teach the very little ones to be still, especially helpful when you have older ones whom you are homeschooling, as we do. There is lots of good info about chores, scheduling etc and includes many resources to help with these areas as well as homeschooling. I also love Michelle and Jim Bob's calm, and peaceful attitudes when dealing with discipline. They talk about how they were not always this way and how they came to be this way. I think it is a great reminder to all of us that no one is perfect, but we can always be better parents and people. They go into a lot of detail about the past and present businesses, both good an bad. As well as how they worked to be debt free! This was a huge inspiration to our self-employed family. We are struggling with getting out of debt as well, and any help or words of encouragement with this great task is always nice to hear(or read). The way I look at it is, Parents who can keep that many children, healthy, and happy and VERY well behaved, with out loosing their minds or sense of humor, have got to be doing something right! The only negative thing I can say is the recipes are all super unhealthy. Most are full of processed and canned foods, and this is just not the way our family eats. But for some I am sure they are yummy.

The Duggars have always amazed me and I love watching their show on TLC. The book is packed with useful information. We tried one of their recipes this evening, "Tater Tot Casserole". It got a thumbs up from my kids. I got the book from the library, and I am going to buy it because I know it's a book I will read over and over.

This is an excellent book! I loved learning all the background info about this cool family. The info in this book was so helful in helping me with parenting, household management, faith development etc. Many parenting/ housekeeping issues we struggled with have been eliminated because of what we learned from this book. At only $10 this book is sooo worth purchasing.

I can't say enough good things about this book. It inspires you to live a good life. It helps guide you to ideas that may work to help you and your family have peace in your home. It helps guide you to being organized in your home. It will help give you ideas to smooth out the parenting frustrations. There are great recipes in there that are delicious! It will lead you to discover new things and ideas that will help you in everyday life. This book led me to other books that helped me even further on my quest to be a better mother and to have a home that runs more smoothly. I now have goals and am excited to try the ideas this book gave with my family. Definitely looking forward to a less stressful life!

Great Great Great! I loved this book. I have never missed one of their tv shows. Their family is so amazimg I would have loved to have a family like theirs but i stopped at one. They have done everything right and work hard to raise this family. I know people with a very small family that looks for handouts and this family has never asked for any help from us taxpayers. Good for them. God Bless....A MUST READ
