Bender was shocked, realizing that nothing we accomplish seems like enough in our overly pressured world. In Everyday Sacred we follow Bender on her quest to make every moment enough. Cleaning a desk, sipping cappuccino, making computer connections, and appreciating freshly painted walls all become opportunities to satiate one's life with sacred encounters. The end product reads like an Amish quilt--simple vignettes sewn together to create a comfortable lifetime companion. | Average Customer Rating: self help for women on the go who multitask We have all been there if we are women. We multitask to the point where we are friend, co worker, sister, daughter, granddaughter, boss, employee, wife, mother , grandmother all at the same time... and while we are standing on one foot balancing dinner with the left hand and juggling homework with the other. Oh, and inbetween we are the good wife and we dance our way through our husband's business dinners and our company seminars.
THis book is about one woman's life through everything and how she keeps her head above water. Granted it isn't james bond... who who's everyday life is? ANd if you really want help with the every day as a woman or if you just want to understand women... this is the book for you.... Not that men will ever totally understand us... but that is also the point is it not?Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus: The Classic Guide to Understanding the Opposite Sex wonderfoul I received very fast and it is a wonderful book, maybe in the future i will buy more about this autor A Male's perspective... I was very worried that I would not be able to relate to this book, but I was shocked by how relevant the author's voice was for me...I enjoyed her perspective, and had my girlfriend read the book as well. She enjoyed the book as much as I did, and provided additional insight on the author's mindframe during certain points in the book. I was surprised how a book, which I was worried would be completely irrelevant to me, turned out to be so impactful.
I would highly reccomend this book to any male who is on the line on whether this book would be a worthwhile use of his time. It will be, and if you have a significant other in your life, it will be even more impactful for you. You will learn a lot about how women think, as compared to how you deal with situations. This book would be fabulous, even if it taught me none of this, but after reading it I can honestly say that it was one of the better experiences of my life. I would love to personally thank the author for the experience that she has provided me.
