This is a book that is hard to put down and doesn't miss a thing on surviving in the wilderness, I think if there was one book I would take with me to the hills, it would be this one.

I really appreciated this book as a resource. What's more, we used it in an advanced wilderness survival course at Arizona State University. Yes, there is some information that feels incomplete and a couple of ideas that need to be modified for practicality (ex. digging a still in the desert). However, as a general resource, its excellent, simple, easy to use, and full of information. As with all survival skills, they should be tested and learned in a non-emergency/ non-survival situation before expecting to depend on them.

I love this book because i've always told myself that I could live in the mountains and survive on my own. This book can tell you if you could. Have you ever wondered what would happen if you were stranded somewhere without communication or civilization, what would you do, would you know the plants you can and can't eat. How to cook what ever you are able to find to eat. Just how to survive without Wal-Mart. This book will tell you everything you need to know. This book is great for adult and teens alike. If a war errupted on our home land and you had to run and hide in the caves and mountains in your area could you make due. This book will show you and explain how you can do just that.
