to start I COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!!!!! Monster was awesome i loved it, its dark, rough, hardcore, no frills, brutal, gangsta, and a great read. If you don't overstand what its like to gang bang in South Central in the 80's this book will give you a glimpse in to the lifestyle of the people your parents told you were up to no good. This story takes you on a journey from the street of south central los Angeles through the eyes of Cody "Monster" Scott, to Calif. Youth Authority, to the streets again then to Fulsome Prison. This cat starts bangin at age 11, and does some crazy things through out his career. dont get it twisted hes no role model but is an inperation to change for the better. AN AWESOME READ, I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT.

This book was very entertaining, it's one of those books that you pick up and can't put down. It's not boring whatsoever, something is always happening. The author is a total degenerate but very likable at the same time, he is the ulitamte hard ass and he is always strategizing. The author is either a total liar, which is possble, or a mass murderer. I find it strange that this 16 year old kid is riding around on his bike blasting people left and right and the only time he is ever involved in a murder rap is when its a murder he didn't committ. He really beleives he is some type of soldier defending the hood, but me being an "American" I see him as a common street thug that is obsessed with himself. This man's ego is as big as him. His reasoning ability is completely up the A$$, I mean he is prison and brags about being this mass murderer and having no empathy whatsoever for his victims, yet he acts like he is the victim of this giant racial injustice. This scumbag that advocates the cutting off of arms of his enemies and goes out of his way to completely humiliate his enemies by making them drink urine has an opinion about the evils of the world. This guy is scum and although I liked his book, this is one person that should be locked up for life by the "soldier cops." Complete scumbag regardless if he changed his life.

UPDATE: There is a video of this guy on the internet I came accross, I foolishly thought this guy would be somewhat intelligent because he wrote a book, boy was I wrong, this guy is half retarded. He was rambling on and on about nonsense, and also he contradicts his book at parts(I figured he was full of it on a lot of his exploits). He reminded me of the crazy homeless guys that are always rambling on about nothing, except he is in much better shape. I guess anyone who is so impressed by the word play of the english word "human" meaning colored man has got to be stupid.
