The handouts are helpful and appropriate, and my client's are responding positively to this treatment approach. The activities quickly help them recognize how the two disorders are inter-related and that they need to address both issues simultaneously in order to find their road to recovery. Gold Standard in dual diagnosis treatment of PTSD Customer Rating: This manual is in use and recommended for use by the VA's National Center for PTSD at Palo Alto California. Great Program Customer Rating: This manual clearly maps out a program for trauma victims struggling with Substance Abuse. Most programs are designed for one or the other. This manual clearly describes a program that integrates approaches to both issues. There is very little fluff (stories and experiences) with only important valuable information included.
