Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: Wise and inspiring words Bill Gates, Sr is a delightful man who gives readers some of his wisdom in this short book. It can be read in about two hours with frequent chapters changes and even a few pictures. Readers will get a glimpse into the Gates' family life, Microsoft, and of course the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. I also appreciated understanding the foundation's rationale for how they spend their funds for example the emphasis on health in Africa. Although not the best writing and some may find it hokey, it is still a worthwhile read. Ideal for a graduation gift. The Nicest Book I've Ever Read! If you want to do something nice for yourself today, then read this book. This book is not about what it's like to be Bill Jr.'s dad. It's about being a good person. I'm really glad that Bill Sr. wrote this book and that I decided to read it. Do not buy the book for the kindle You can read other reviews about this book. Inspiring as a model for Excellence I enjoyed this book thoroughly. A lot of us can learn from the values Bill Gates Sr passed on to his son, "the" Bill Gates. Throughout all the demonstrations one will read of his thought processes and lessons learned, Gates Sr always comes across always as a humble individual and never with an air of supremacy. Not about the Money! It helps to have money when it comes to charity. It helps to give from your beliefs when you have money and are charitable. It helps to read this book to find what inspirations moved the Gates family to dig deep into their hearts and give from their abundant resources. | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
