Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: better than its title Customer Rating:  I work in an assisted living residence for people with dementia and our goal is to engage our residents all day in meaningful activities. It is very challenging and has great rewards. This book's title, Keeping Busy, almost made me pass it by because we are focused on more than just keeping our residents 'busy'...we want them to enjoy themselves, and in fact to 'flourish' in our environment. I am glad that I purchased it because it has many delightful activities that in fact do much more than just keep people 'busy'. Keeping Busy - Great book Customer Rating: This book is well written. It is an easy read. It is full of good ideas and common sense ways to entertain people. It taught me that there are many possibilties. I enjoyed the book very much. great for families, ok for professionals Customer Rating: It was a good book to give me some basics for my new job but it was limited for someone who is in the end of life field like I am. Activities for People with Dementia Customer Rating:  A 'must-have' for all Recreation Departments in the Geriatric Care settings. Many Useful Ideas Discussed Customer Rating: Even though this book is over ten years old, many of the ideas for activities suggested are extremely helpful in engaging a person with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia.
