I am so glad that I found this resource as we are now evaluating our current competency standards. This book speaks from a managerial perspective, but has relevant material for the educator or nurse specialist that may be assisting in the program planning. The book discusses the need for individual and management accountability and methods that best suit the adult learner. It also includes the PBDS domains that we are now trying to implement and make jive into our current culture and practice. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

This is the best book I have found on competency assessment of health care workers. There are many ways to verify competency, and this book identifies which are appropriate for various identified competencies for licensed and unlicensed personnel.
