very happy with the speedy delivery...i hven't read it yet though, i just need it for nursing courses.

If given the chance I would not rate this book at all. This is a vague representation of medical dictionaries and should not be considered as your main source of reference. I bought this book to help me with my clinical case studies and research, but it did not help even a little bit. Please do not waste your money on this poor excuse of a medical reference book.

this book has helped me a tremendous amount. i am in nursing school and although this book is thick, i carry it onto the floor with me and refer to it regularly! good info, with medical Dx and nursing Dx, easy to use too.

Stedman's Medical Dictionary is filled with 1696 pages of concise definitions and wonderful color pictures and graphs. It also contains an extra 589 pages of Appendices: Units of Measure, Affixes, Abbreviations, and Symbols; Physical Terminology; Infection Control; Reference Values; Body Mass and Surface Calculations; Assessment and Care; Drug Information; Diet and Nutrition; Professional Information. It also contains a CD-ROM with Audio Pronunciations for more than 48,000 terms; Anatomical animations; and a Medical/Pharmaceutical Spellchecker. Any person in the medical field would be well armed with this excellent, informative book. The price is very low for the amount of information contained.
