I passed my AANP Family Nurse Practioner exam and I am very grateful to Margaret Fitzgerald's review book and review course.This is the MUST have book to guide you through your Masters and finally for the preparation of the certification board exam. The pneumonic's are great and are only one of the many tools Margaret has to offer.Loved to study with Margarets hints.I definetly recommend this book for first year master's students and for the preparation for the national boards!

Nice book so far.
It has you answer mc questions, then it explains the answers so you get an understanding of what you do/don't know.

It might be best to brush up on your knowledge base, then go to this book.

Her live/audio lectures may be a good combo with this book.

Some overlap though.

I just passed the Aanp exam in 9/09. This book was by far the best review book I used (out of four resources). This book is more than just test questions and rationale for the best answer... An excellent, yet succinct review of primary care issue is provided. I would have missed many questions on the exam if this book had not clued me into what was being looked for on the exam. I was worried that the book would be out of date, but it is not. As an aside, I was shocked at first that I was only making 60-70% on the practice questions, but after I worked my way through this book my scores on other practice tests came up significantly, and I passed the exam the first time.
