I used this review book as well as Kaplan practice questions. I had looked at other review books, but this one really helped me feel prepared to take the PANCE. The book allowed me to think about each question and review other material that was related to the topic. I felt that I was learning as opposed to just memorizing key points. This study method propels one to think about and process the information, so that when taking the PANCE exam you are able to reason to come to an educated answer. Needless to say I passed on the first time and will definetly use this book or the newest version when preparing for the PANRE.

I've been out of practice for a few years and needed to catch up fast. This is one of the best book investments I've made. Quite pleased with layout as well as explanatory answers to correct and incorrect responses. I found the answer section for the first set of question a good primer in and of itself. Well worth the price.

and I've seen my IQ scores. Seriously, this was the only review book I bought; no review course, no other CD, nada. I studied for the better part of 3 weeks and passed on the first try. The CD tests helped a lot. The wording is just what you see on PANCE. The book is great about providing tidbits on information in easily digestible packets. There are two tests in the book itself. The first is a multiple, multiple choice (K-type question); the other section is one-answer PANCE-type question. BTW, I am 49, so it wasn't that I had a young brain.

I had a difficult time passing the exam the first two times. I decided to try a different approach for the third time of taking the PANCE. I went to two different conferences, studied a couple of books, listened to all of the Emory CD lectures, and I ended my studies with this PA review book by Dr. Diamond. I actually saw him lecture last year at a FAPA conference, and he is wonderful as a teacher! I found his email address, and just figured I would email him about a week before my test just to ask him for some advice and tips. He actually responded! I was so excited when he responded because that showed me that he truly did care about me and passing this exam. He kept responding to my email, and he was actually the first person to congratulate me on passing my exam, the day before I took it! I did pass my PANCE the third time around, thanks to Dr. Diamond and the confidence he gave me! The CD in the back of the book helped me SO much because the way the questions are asked is the exact way the questions are asked on the PANCE. Dr. Diamond's book should be the first book to buy before buying ANY book to study for the PANCE! I will always remember what he has done for me! :) So please, if you have any questions, you can ask me, or ask Dr. Diamond himself and he will help you through these hard exams! :)

This book is a great PANCE review. I studied it more than several other books and it helped so much. I recommend this to anyone just graduating or for recertification. It's broken down into systems and helps you really think about what the question is asking you, giving you several correct answers. It helped me PASS the PANCE and that is why this book is essential to all who have to take this exam.
