Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: Along The Healing Path This is a very helpful and inforitive book. Irelaly get help from reading the book. Thanks. inspiration to take matters into your own hands this book has pointed me in such a direction that in six weeks' time after finishing the book and starting alternative therapies, i am actually on 1/6 of the dose of my ic medication and 1/4 of the dose of my asthma medications that i've been on for over 20 years. Nothing new here. I am not very much pleased with this book . She just give you an idea that mercury can be toxic to your body and that you need to find your own healing path. The herbs information can be easy find in Internet. I'm skeptical I found "Along the Healing Path" to be unpersuasive and poorly written. Her main point is that she believes sodium is the source of Interstitial Cystitis. Well, maybe, for some folks. Frankly, I've found other remedies, such as baking soda in water, grapefruit seed extract, and marshmallow root tea, to be very helpful, without requiring elaborate attempts to stay away from all salt. On the other hand, there are a lot of good reasons not to overdo sodium, and I think the author is right in saying that the MDR has been set way too high. So by all means avoid excess sodium (especially if you do use baking soda, which is loaded with sodium), but don't expect miracles. Great Book! I have been suffering from Interstitial Cystitis for 3 years. I have had many of the latest and greatest "alleged" cures. I have to say that reading this book has helped more than any procedure I have had to date. The marshmallow root tea Ms. Simone recommends helps tremendously. I read the entire book in 2 days. I would say if you are having constant IC flare-ups, this book is a great find. | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
