I bought this book because I was under the impression that this was a book about food and cooking techniques. It is not. It is a book about technology crow barred into a food book. The projects are nice, but pointless. I mean really, a marshmallow catapult?? a 10 gallon gravy fountain??

I really wanted to return this book after the first inspection. I would have returned it but the price of the book is offset by the shipping costs that I would have had to pay to return the thing. I don't even feel good about donating it to the library.

In summation, this book could have been SO MUCH BETTER. However, much like the aforementioned Indiana Jones 4 movie, this book is one of the only books that I have read that I wish I could unread.

Very little of this book actually has anything to do with food, or creating food. The title is misleading and so is the back of the book. I wouldn't buy this book for anyone who was interested in creating anything edible.

Interesting, amusing, if a trifle surreal! This book contains
some useful practical tips

I expected more science like in "What Einstein Told His Cook", but this was mainly frivolous party tricks for TECHIES. Little chemistry or food science. Too many desserts with lights.
