Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: Customer review item The item doesn't come in the box as the picture has. Instead, it's in the little bag, and the size of it is like half of the regular box that the bookstore sell...so don't be fool by the price.... Molecular Model Kit I thought this was a good product. However, I was surprised that it came all in bags, instead of a box. Shipping was kind of slow, but it got here before I needed it. Great customer service -- kept me updated on shipping as much as possible. Works, but isn't much fun Our instructor has this kit, and they are just not that much fun. I bought the Prentice hall modeling kit, and it has nice ball structures and bonds and the molecules look well... pretty. I'm an organic student, and after my other one came in the mail I've been playing with it alot ever since. This model kit can sometimes be more frustrating than anything, and it just has kind of a cheap feeling to it. When the instructor shows us an example of some kind of geometric isomer or something, it's kind of hard to see what he's talking about as all atoms are the same size, and from a distance you feel as if you're looking at a 3D lewis structure... just my thoughts, it works and you can definitely build anything you want. But if you're wanting to put together a large organic model like say Sucrose or a bridged molecule, it's not going to be a whole lot of fun, and you're almost sure to get pretty confused on how to go about it. Product Not as Pictured Be wary. This product was received in a cheap cardboard box and not the plastic green storage case as they once were. The pieces are not arranged according to type for easy retrieval, they are just tossed together in a plastic bag inside the box. Even though the product is still the same functional product that I remember from years ago, I am very disappointed with the way this product was received. It makes it more difficult for myself and my students to learn using the kit. Amazon should change the picture or at the very list add to the description that the product is NOT received as pictured, but will be shipped in a plastic bag inside a reusable cardboard box. Not what illustrated in picture The product was chosen based on the picture and description. It was ultimatly returned because what the picture displayed was NOT was received from the order. It is important to not mislead what the product actually is going to be sent to the customer- the main difference was that no carrying case came with the product- therefore you cannot organize them as other kits allow. | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
