Got it when i needed it on time easy to find and at a better price than going to any book store near my home or at school

Everything was pretty basic. Many good facts/figures, but I was disappointed there was no reference to what mounting-surface is required for a service panel. I swear there is a code saying the (entrance) service panel needs to be mounted on 3/4" plywood of a certain size??? There were references to how close to a wall a panel could be mounted, height, but I saw no mention to mounting surface. That was my sole purpose for ordering this manual.

This work has evolved over a period of some thirty years and many revisions over many editions. Most college textbooks in this price range are over-priced, frequently out of date and verbose. This book is a standout and its vivid graphics, elegant typography, layout, enclosed plans plus a seperately availible instructional CD and workbook make this an extrodinarily useful and thorough program in residential wiring and code application.

This book puts the N.E.C. into everyday langauge that anybody can understand.It is a grat tool along with the N.E.C.

As a NON-electrician, this book proved to be an asset during my home's construction. Using Residential Electrical Wiring as a guide, I was able to completely wire my entire home and have it pass inspection. The room by room text was easy to follow and understand. I would recommend this book to anyone trying to remodel an existing home or planning to wire a new construction, as I have.
