Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: CHEMISTRY :( Delightful to deal with seller. Shipped Promptly and came in perfect condition that was described. Would re-use seller! Good book, good service Would recommend this seller. I got the book in the shortest amount of time possible and it was in good condition. book the book came early and was as the seller said it was. i did not have any problems. Don't get this item from e-campus! I've left the seller (e-campus) a 2-star-rated review and guess what??? He blasted at me for leaving him a "false" negative feedback through emails! I was just being honest in the feedback based on the information I was given! Apparently there was a miscommunication between Amazon and the seller. Instead of contacting amazon to resolve the problem to prevent future incident like this, he harrassed me with emails! I mean "What the heck???" So DONT ever buy anything from them - they have a different shipping rate and method than what the amazon market place confirmation will tell you!!!!! If you buy anything from them, check with the seller first about shipping; otherwise, he'll for sure harass you with tons of emails!!! However, the book itself is in the condition as described by the seller - Thank goodness! Complicated explanations of simple ideas I have the 6th edition. Perhaps the book has improved in the 10th. I find complicated explanations of simple ideas over and over. I have only read to page 70. In the beginning of section 3.1 Chemical Equations, the book suggests the following substitutions: We read the + sign to mean "reacts with" and the arrow as "produces". This scheme will not produce good English for any chemical equation and will produce incorrect statements for most (A + B -> C + D does NOT mean to imply that C reacts with D). What could be simpler than + means "and"? Then the arrow means "reacts to produce", and everything works. In the same paragraph, the book confuses number and numeral and gets it wrong. If you look with a critical eye, you will find slightly off statements every few pages. I could not recommend this book to a beginner who does not have a teacher to smooth over the rough points. | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
