Each chapter is a short story about an animal who is lucky enough to get to live at Catskill Farm Animal Sanctuary. Just like people have personalities, so do these animals. It's quite a treat to view pigs, ducks, cows, and sheep as pets instead of as food. Animals are capable of emotion, and after reading this book it'll change how you think about your meals.

The book is uplifting, informative, interesting, and inspiring. Everyone should read.

A story that pulls the heartstrings and restores some faith in humanity. How fortunate all animals that are at the whim of humans would be to live like this. The book is easy to read and makes you want more at the end. It also lets the reader become more enlightened on the subject of humane treatment. Highly recommended!

I loved this book ,this woman is an absolute saint.What she is doing is what I wish I could do as well.Tender loving care for animals is how we should all be, after all they are God's creatures too.It has certainly changed my mind about eating meat.I undoubtly recommend this book to all animal lovers,you won't regret reading this.It's wonderful!!!

This is a fabulous book. It's fun to read, heartwarming and you'll shed a tear or two. Not too heavy on the real story behind factory farming, but still gives you an idea of what it's like and what a fabulous place this sanctuary is. I joined the Sanctuary after reading the book! It's a must read for animal lovers.
