Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: Almost everything you need to know Customer Rating:  Beekeeping For Dummies is an EXCELLENT guide/reference book for new beekeepers and seasoned. It covers EVERYTHING from thinking of keeping bees all the way through to recipes for things to do with your wonderful honey! The reason I titled this review "ALMOST everything you need to know" is because there are some things you just can't learn without actual hands-on experience. Throughout the book, there are MANY references to where in the book you can find more information about something that was mentioned (i.e. "for more information on 'that subject' see page 'such-n-such'). Because of that, you can read it cover-to-cover, or open it up to any section, start reading, & not miss out on useful information. (I'm a cover-to-cover person.) Can't Wait to Become a Beekeeper Customer Rating: I purchased Beekeeping for Dummies as a gift for my boyfriend and I could not put it down. The abundant amount of information given in this book is simple and to the point. The pictures are nice. There is a section dedicated to recipes containing honey (including ales) and products that can be made from beeswax. I think that Beekeeping for Dummies is an excellent text for anyone who is interested in bees and beekeeping. A must have for beekeepers Customer Rating: I have been keeping bees for three years now and I still continually refer to this book. It is a must read for new beekeepers and a reference for experienced beekepers. Beekeeping for Dummies Customer Rating: As are most of the other FOR DUMMIES, this book gave many insights as well as basic easy, entertaining beekeeping reference Customer Rating: Easy enough for my 14 year old to read and understand, she finds it so interesting that she is carries it anytime she thinks she can squeeze in a little pleasure reading time! We will also be attending a beekeeping class and think that this book a wonderful start if you are looking into this hobby. After reading the book she is so interested and excited about beekeeping that she is asking for beekeeping equipment for Christmas/birthday gifts!
