Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: A useful book This book gives a clear big picture of what research labs environment feel like, but it can not substitute the actual experience. In a word, I like this book and recommend it to those who are new to a research lab, but keep in mind that situations are not always the same as stated in the book. Great Book! I bought the original one in 2000 and it was a great help to me. I just bought the new one for my lab so people who are not really science oriented can read it and get a grasp of whats going on quickly. Great source to help starting out in the lab This manual is a good source of information, it covers diverese topics in a general to medium dept level, offering usefull information for those who are starting out their lab work & rutines (grad students like me). It also tells you were to get more information on the subject at hand. Very usefull. review the book was like brand new and it got shipped when they said they would have good lab intro for non-lab-tech types I am a nursing student with no background in genetics trying to find my way through a biology seminar in virology. I think this book is effective in helping me to understand some of the background knowledge on experiments reported in the primary literature--knowledge that the biology students take for granted. | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
