Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: These signing flash cards are fun. These are fun cards. We mostly have been using them in the car to talk about stuff with my 16 month old toddler. I'll hand one back to him and then make the signs so he can see from back there. It's fun. There are a couple words that seem like they should have been obvious to include that weren't, but no big deal. He knows 44 signs now, and learning new ones almost every day. Signing with your baby and toddler really works! The hard part was just getting started, months of signing with nothing back and wondering if it was sinking in at all, then one day all of a sudden, he gave me a sign! A big reward, he's talking (signing) to me now alllll the time. Now the hard part is just keeping up with learning new ones to teach him. I'm going to lend these cards to the grandparents so they can learn and sign with him too. It's amazing and empowering, we highly recommend it! It also teaches that communication can be so much more than just words. Well designed but lacking some main words I just started signing with my 9 month old daughter in the last month or so. I bought these cards because I thought they would be helpful to both me and her, as well as any other family members who would like to help teach her. We can work on just a few signs at a time and the pictures on the cards will help her recognize them. My only complaint is that there are way too many nouns/objects that I don't feel she needs to learn right now. I'd like to focus on the actions we use every day like "all done/finished", "diaper change", "up" (to be held), "no", "don't touch", "I love you" and none of those are in this deck. So the only ones in the deck that we use right now are "more", "cat", and "milk" which may be confusing when she starts weaning since she is breastfed and sometimes just wants to nurse for comfort. great I bought these to teach my 1 year old. The pictures are great and easy for all of us to figure out and work on. The basics with real pictures and simple directions I wanted simple sign language cards to teach my baby to communicate some basic things to me (such as she is tired, hungry, wants more, wants a drink, needs help). That's it. These accomplish that, plus many more. Also, I have noticed from reading her books that my baby prefers actual pictures, rather than cartoon drawings, so I wanted to find sign language flash cards with real pictures. These are all actual pictures, no drawings. sign language flash cards The flash cards were in excellent condition and they are great, but, they are just one word signing so if you want anything more you have to buy another book to go along with it. | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
