Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: Very practical book. Nice book. I found the guide to have some very good advice, direction and common sense. Granted, a good part of the material is specific to Missouri and St. Louis, but Mr. Stage offers good tips and tricks. I also like the small size because it fits nicely into my jacket pocket for handy reference. I recommend this guide for anyone in the business as well as those thinking of engaging in process serving. New to Process Service? Buy This Book! Wm. Stage's "The Practical Guide to Process Serving" is a must-read for all new Process Servers who are desperate for information to get started in the business. I especially recommend this book for those who live in states that do not offer formal Process Server training. Stage provides the "nuts & bolts" of the business. I especially found the definitions and terms extremely helpful. It's a shame that I'm just now reading this, after being in the business for twelve months. I was able to make immediate improvements to my work processes because of what I learned from this book. Now I know why the book is packaged the way that it is. It's small so that you can take it with you on the road - which is just what I did today. It's still in my purse. If you don't read this book, you better hope you get this valuable information somewhere else. Buy it for yourself. Buy it for someone you know who is just getting started. They will never stop thanking you for the gift. P.S. If anyone hears about the author publishing Practical Guide Part II, email me. I don't want to be the last to know. Process Serving 101 This little book is so well written, thorough and complete that it should be required reading in Process Serving School. Not Very Useful... ...unless you live in Missouri. Much of the (limited) information in this guide is rather specific to the rules of civil procedure in the author's home state only. The Practical Guide to Process Serving Being a new Process Server, this book is gold! Its small size makes it easy to carry with me for quick reference. | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
