This Bilingual Law dictionary is a must addition to any interpreters or translators personal library. Not only does it give the target language translation of the English term but it elaborates on the meaning of each word, explaining what it means. As interpreters, we know how valuable this information is, since understanding the background of our cases is key to providing quality interpretations as well as translations. The book also will delve into all the variations of a particular term for example: Parliament, parliamentary elections,parliamentary law,parliamentary priviledge and so on. Although this is Spanish/English dictionary, the definitions in English could be quite useful to any interpreter or translator that wants to understand the legal terminology better. In short as I mentioned at the outset, this is a "MUST HAVE" purchase a copy today.

This dictionary is fine but as with a number of bilingual legal dictionaries, has to be accompanied by others because it never has all the terms you need.

This dictionary is a great start for studying and learning legal translation or interpretation in Spanish and English. Sure, it is not comprehensive, but that is because it is compact enough to carry anywhere you go. For its size and price, you couldn't find a better dictionary. I have seen books for times this size that don't have as good information as this one.

This rather small tome is very helpful when translating legal documents bi-directionally. I use it in my profession and whilst it is far from complete, in conjuction with the Collins Unabridged English/Spanish dictionary, I am able to clear up most any question.

I am a legal interpreter in South America and find this dictionary to be an excellent working tool oriented to Latinamerican law professionals. Contains definitions not found in other legal dictionaries.
