Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: An invaluable guide to being a man in the 21st Century Members of Gen X and Gen Y take heed: If you think the fact that you have certain anatomy makes you a man, then you definitely need to read this book. It's chock full of all sorts of valuable information, such as courtship (What's that?) and being a responsible, loving father (You mean I can't just have random kids with even more random women?). The book is well written and well researched. Anyone who has been to [...] knows the McKays get the straight scoop on everything from shaving to outdoor exploration to self defense and how to be the ideal best man at a wedding. A Great Refresher Course The Art of Manliness not only reminds us of numerous ways to better ourselves as 21st century men, but gives us back the heroes that we forgot about like Mark Twain and Rudyard Kipling. I recommend this book to men of all ages. Get this book. The lost art of manilness is described in this book, along with its remedy. The authors really make a good case on how to act and what sorts of things a manly man needs to do. It's not all pomp and circumstance, either. There are really, really good tips throughtout and it has helped me in tremendous ways. I don't like to admit that I didn't know some of the things inside the book, but it's good to know them now so I won't end up looking like a fool. I think all men should read this and I think all parents should give one to their sons. It can really help a guy out a lot. Another good one, in my opinion for the same reasons, is How to Get a Girlfriend: Two Classic Dating Guides in One Volume-Understanding Women and How To Be The Man Women Want. Greatest. Book. Ever. I'll keep it short: Great book This book belongs on the shelf of all men aspiring to be gentlemen. Chivalry is unfortunately a dying art, and I hope this book will be the spark to bring manhood and masculinity to what it once was.
