Summary:

The #1 factor for admission into medical school is the interview evaluation. "Current practices in admission interviews at U.S. medical schools." This information will benefit anyone facing a medical school interview, especially if you are a little unsure of your GPA or MCAT scores. You will learn a system that will prepare you for almost any question an interviewer throws at you. Learn how to fulfill your dream and succeed in the final and most important step of getting into medical school: the interview!

Excellent Book!
Customer Rating:  Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5

This book is well worth the price. It is easy to read, concise and full of useful information. I read this book before my first interview for pharmacy school this year. Within one week after the interview, I had an acceptance call! I am so grateful that this book was available. If you want to understand the medical school interview process and be well prepared, this is the book to read.

great investment

this is the best book you can buy for getting into any school. what's nice about this book it makes you think and also teaches you the basics of an interview

Huge help
Customer Rating:  Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5

This book not only demystifies how the whole interview and admissions committee process works, but also provides a structured way of organizing everything youve done in your life and how to categorically recall pertinent experiences. It also includes the 3 things that "by hook or by crook", you should always substantiate in an interview (you should substantiate EVERYTHING with examples, but definitely show the interviewer that (liberal paraphrase) 1) you have succeeded in academic or otherwise stressful and rigorous environments, 2) you've seen the ugly/frustrating side of medicine and still want to pursue an MD/DO, and 3) you have a general understanding of the state of health care and the profession)

You've already invested over $100,000 over 4 years in order to apply to medical school, the price of this book is a drop in the bucket and will prepare you for arguably the make-or-break point in the admissions committee's decision over whether to let you in or not.

Good Information

I bought this for my daughter and she has three colleges interested so far. I also read the book. I'm sure that preparation in half of the battle.

A "get-to-the-point" look at interviewing for medical school...
Customer Rating:  Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5 Score = 5

This book does an excellent job laying out what you can expect, why you should expect it, and what you should do to prepare in a easy to read, concise manner. While some suggestions may seem obvious, it is quite reassuring to have it followed up with sound reasoning from the point of view of the interviewer... you remember, that person you need to impress. I feel much more confident about the interviewing season after having read this piece, and I think that you would as well--so go ahead and purchase it.
