Very good book that I wish I would of read before I was two years into my custody suit. Very knowledgable, and spells it all out for you.

Nothing new in here. Even sought out the author who stated she had no idea what the courts would do. then why write a book and then take no accountability. very disappointed.

After reading about this book in Newsweek magazine, I bought a copy and found it extremely helpful. A custody battle is hard on everyone (including the father) and I found this book to be encouraging and hopeful. Ms. Hunter really "talked me down from the ledge" and I hope I can feel as positive as she did at the end of the road.

Deedra's book is a godsend. The included insight from her kids is very helpful. You can put yourself in her shoes with ease. Being a product of divorce myself, I could relate on so many levels. The book was just mentioned in NEWSWEEK magazine. Deedra is quoted in the article and explains that there is no real "winner" in these matters. I have recommended this book to many of my male friends going through a custoday battle. They have found it just as helpful as a woman. We all want what's best for our kids and Deedra's experiences really come to life and let us know that we are not alone.
