Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: Easy Read- Informative- Encouraging This is a wonderful book to read for anyone going through a custody fight. Hunter writes from a very human perspective and aims to calm fears. While she may write less about the technical and legal aspects of a custody dispute and more about the emotional side and how to present yourself, you will find from experience in your own battle that this is precisely what you needed all along. There is nothing like a calm, collected, and forthright litigant. After reading this book, you will gain the insight and calm to carry you through your ordeal. The book is an easy read, read it twice, even if you don't feel the need. Hunter's writing style is easily digested. One thing that I found very helpful was the personal account from Hunter's children, she never forgot their side and bravely chose to allow them a voice in her book. Her children expressed themselves beautifully and offered a glimpse into what the true victims of our custody battles represent for them- she doesn't let us forget them. The book may be aimed at women but I think that it's an appropriate read for father's as well. It exposes what a mother goes through when threatened with the loss of her children and subsequently what the children also endure. It just might serve as food for thought and a warning to look before you leap. Great book for everyone. This is a great, to the point book here! Very good book that I wish I would of read before I was two years into my custody suit. Very knowledgable, and spells it all out for you. just the same old stuff. waste of time. Nothing new in here. Even sought out the author who stated she had no idea what the courts would do. then why write a book and then take no accountability. very disappointed. Easy-to-understand (even if you're in a panic) After reading about this book in Newsweek magazine, I bought a copy and found it extremely helpful. A custody battle is hard on everyone (including the father) and I found this book to be encouraging and hopeful. Ms. Hunter really "talked me down from the ledge" and I hope I can feel as positive as she did at the end of the road. This is not just a Woman's issue This book has a lot of inspiration but not enough information. I need data not someone patting my hand saying "There, there, dear." | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
