Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: No Copyright Date - No Buy I am newly interested in the Ham Radio and getting a FCC license. I previewed the Amazon book listings and ended up purchasing the ARRL Ham Radio License Manual. It is an excellent document. However, I was sent a 2007, edition which use is limited at best. The FCC questions have been re-written since this edition. I wasted $16.52 plus shipping on an outdated $24.95 book. ARRL General Exam study guide Great way to prepare for the GENERAL amateur radio exam. Precise explanations of theory and content needed to pass the exam. I used the TECHNICAL study guide and have just ordered the EXTRA exam guide. All will be excellent reference guides as I become more involved with HAM radio. Must have to get your license. This book is a must if you want to earn your license in a reasonable amount of time. The question pool in the book is essential. Easy and fun to read also. A must study guide for Ham guys to advance Thinking of becoming a Ham radio operator. This is the book for you The Only Book You Will Need to Become a Tech I now have my tech ticket, at age 62, mostly because of this book. It starts off very slow, and then rapidly takes off. Basic electrical engineering, radio theory, repeaters, types of radios, antennas, it's all here. At the end is the entire pool of 350 test questions - and answers. With this book and a few hours a day, you should be able to pass the element 2 exam with %100, like I did. | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
