Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: Homebrew equipment I found this book really useful. This is a powerfull tool to build a process, which let you know what is happening; in that way you can have control of what is going on in your brew must. Honey...get me a beer! Lots of information on making and or modifying brewing equipment and or making your own. If this book doesn't help you get or make brewing equipment then nothing will! Loaded with mostly drawings of each step and device and piece of equipment used to brew! Gives alternative uses for everyday devices and appliances! Definitely worth a look I've read a few beer-making books and regularly participate in online forums to get ideas for building my own equipment. This book brought a slightly different perspective. While most books focus on the process itself and can get really bogged down in the details of less-important parts of the story, this book focuses on the equipment you need to get things done. It does highlight parts of the process and why you need certain items but in a very practical manner. There are three or four projects in there that I am definitely going to do over the course of the next year. And there is one that I might do if I get really serious about yeast cultivation. One thing that could make the book better is to come out with an updated edition. There is a lot of new equipment and many new manufacturers and vendors since this book was first published, so there is a lot of room for completing the collection of suggestions. Great projects for the homebrewer This book covers the start to finish of brewing and is more for a person who already brews and is looking to switch to all grain process. Great Book--excellent money saving tips for 1rst timers I bought this for a relative and he loves it. It has great tips on making your brew apparatus out of items you can get at walmart. You don't have to have a stainless steel set-up to start! Excellent diagrams. | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
