Customer Reviews:Average Customer Rating: Most Valuable Resource! Dr. Green's book is definitely a most valuable resource for anyone deciding to go back to school, particularly in an on-line environment, and especially if for your PhD!! I've used it every quarter. I had the pleasure to personally meet him at a conference, and you could not meet a more down-to-earth, humble individual! His book is full of practical advise, great tips and motivation. I highly encourage it. Great book for someone considering online education Reading this book gave me a better understanding about online education and what I needed to do in order to be successful. The author is very knowledgeable about the topic of higher education. However, he might me a little biased because he got his PhD at Capella University and is a faculty member from that same institution. Great Book for Online Students This book would be beneficial, especially for those who are new to the online techniques of education or academics. It is helpful in many ways throughout your academic time frame and I found it to be very good. I would recommend it to anyone. Interesting The book is helpful, and does have some useful information. The author apparently is very fond of the word paradigm, as it seems to appear multiple times per page, especially in the early sections. The double spaced type used by the publisher is distracting. Keep the book close by If you are thinking about going back to school or have just started back - READ THIS BOOK! Dr. Green has managed to provide the information needed for anyone to navigate a graduate program, but is honest about what it takes, what you will need to do, and how rewarding it will be. Dr. Green's conversational style of writing is impressive. You feel as if you are having a casual talk with a friend but end up feeling motivated by a mentor. I have gone back to school once and now thinking of doing it again. This book will serve as a reference for my new endeavor and continued motivation. | | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
