Got this book to help teach my 3-year old son with Autism Spectrum Disorder a little more about how to deal with the world. He seems to be learning, although we've only had the book a few weeks. We're trying to start with just a few stories, and repeating them over and over until he shows improvement in that particular behavior, and then to move on to others. I just wish it covered other behaviors (like the typical 3-year old boy behaviors) as well!

What a fabulous book! The layout of this book is perfect. The text is easy to read and the true life images are so much better than drawings. My twins, like many other children with ASD are visual learners, and this book takes the abstract concept of social skills and puts it into a wonderful visual format that works!

I looked at this book a few times and--not recognizing its worth--passed it by. When another parent of a child with AS recommended it, saying it was very helpful with her daughter, I immediately bought a copy. This was easily the best $[...] I ever spent. To hear my 9 year old son (who has Asperger's Syndrome)say things like, "would you like to hear more about this now, or would you like to talk about something else," or, after losing a game, say "good game" instead of going into an emotional meltdown is a great joy. He loves the pictures and the practical, real-world scenarios and he learns things from this book that he can immediately implement to help him with day-to-day life. Highly recommended.

we purchased this book for use within our daughters autism therapy. has nice realistic pictures to go with stories. she really likes this book and it's very helpful teaching her realistic situations.

My son is 7, high functioning autism. I borrowed this book at a meeting for parents with autistic children.
My son is only 7 and while eating dinner, read this book cover to cover and GOT IT. He now sees things and says "mommy, that is the wrong way"
or "that's the right way".
He completely GOT IT.
I had to return the book but my son asks for it. So I am on amazon now, planning to place my order.
But figured i'd pass my GREAT review on.

ALSO- I found the book so helpful that before I returned it, I brought it to his school and showed it to the child psyc and she loved it so much that she is ordering it for her CLASS!
