Great series- we've been thrilled with most parts of each one.

Just remember when you buy it on Amazon, you are NOT getting the second revision. We cannot seem to find it anywhere but at the home school store we frequent. I think we are destined to pay full price for it if we want the most up to date version. There are changes that would make it difficult to use this with a mix of 1st and 2nd revisions. For example, you couldn't use this with a second revision audiobook and hear it word-for-word. Not a problem if that doesn't bother you, but we wouldn't be happy with that.

So, you are getting a deal on all the SOTW on Amazon becasue they are clearing the shelves of the old editions. Again, good series and we are still happy with them for the most part.

We've just begun this series of 4 books due to Classical Conversations homeschool curriculum. I have enjoyed teaching history, but my kids haven't quite caught the bug. This series has given them something to look forward to. Every day for homework they read a couple chapters and relate to me how much they like the stories; never a complaint.

This is very well written. A great help to helping children understand History. It makes reading about the past fun and enjoyable.
