I needed this book because I am a first year teacher.I was so excited to finda book that would help guide me. I recieved the book and chapters 5-13 were missing!!! I was so upset and so mad and my schedule did not allow me to get to the post office in time to return it. That was a wast of money and I will have a hard time trusting Amazon on used books now.

This book was very helpful for new teachers. It helps you get through your first year teaching! i would recommend it to anyone!

This book is an excellent resource for new teachers. The First Days of School By Wong was good as well.Having both books are necessary tools to be effective in the Classroom. These two books are a must for first time teachers!!!

This book is easy to read with a great deal of information. I am still working on my degree but wanted to know what to expect for student teaching and my first year of teaching. It has many great ideas for getting organized, lesson planning, classroom management, how to deal with parents, documentation and many other areas that are difficult for new teachers. It is for K-12 but some of it is a little more for elementary than secondary teachers but overall I would recommend it to all student teachers and new teachers.
