I got this textbook for my grad class. It has lots of information on human development from conception through the old age. All information is backed up by current research.
My class is over but I will keep this book for my own further reading and looking back if I need some information on development
The only negative side is that this book is very big and heavy; difficult to just casually take to a coffee shop. Then again, perhaps it is not a coffee shop book for most :)

This is the textbook for my Human Development Course. The material is informative, well-presented, and fascinating. Recommend it to anyone interested in Human Lifespan.

This author writes on a graduate school level. This book is more of a challenge for graduate students. I feel this is beneficial because I am getting more out of my graduate school education with descriptive and elaborate books like this one. The book explores human life and development in more concrete ways and I have absorbed much from it. Amazon delivered this book within 3-4 days which was fantastic; since I needed this book right away for the beginning of the semester.

The book is great, but it doesn't come with an access code. I have been searching for the access code for hours to no avail. It is sold out of the Pearson website. So...that is great. If you need the access code for your class, be sure to either buy at the bookstore, or make sure your copy will have it. Just because it says it is part of the Developmental Lab series does not mean that the code is included.
